What is the character you play as named?

In Haydee 1 within the files through edith she was called Eva, but if you look closely to one of the magazines in Haydee 2 she is named Ellen Haydee, so which one is her actual name?

In residential area there is a document in game that I think is in reference to her.

But then why name the game Haydee? In one of the magazines it says Ellen Haydee, why name the game Haydee if the character you play as is not named Haydee? Hopefully one of the devs sees this, I'm interested as to what was the reason for the name change? And is Kay Davia the name of the character?

Not really sure on the Ellen Haydee may be that is her stage name but that would contradict that she has no occupation. it could also just be the line name of the Dolls modeled after the character.

As for the game being called Haydee. I feel that it is very loosely connected to the previous one if at all. Only thing I can think of is that the doll models transported to another one of Jurani's bases were tinkered with to make the Haydee cyborgs rather than the Slashers in this base were and they tested them

cant remember, ya i think ur right cuz hd512 is ur character according to ur outfit page. just gonna guess ur just the 512th haydee of their project and they assigned different names to each.

Not just that. The intro states that it's activating HD512. So "our" Haydee is Kay Davia.

Also, I think you have it backwards; the Haydees in the project aren't assigned different names. They're women who were abducted by the facility/company and transformed into Haydee clones via surgery and brainwashing, being sold as some kind of product.

Yeah, the clipboards in Personnel all list different women, their physical rating (how close they are to the right body, face, shape, physical health, etc) and the risk of "taking" them (important to job, close family, how prominent in society they are)
Kay Davia who was converted into HD512(player character) - was an unemployed orphan of high physical rating, iirc

If you follow the lore, Kay Davia might have been an infiltrator. Her report marks her as someone of no importance or skills, but not only is there a secondary cognitive loop that prevents her from being pacified into 512 properly, creating the learning disability that got her shipped off to Habitat's Private Area, but she's also way too comfortable around firearms and explosives to not have significant combat training, since she's responsible for blowing the hole into security from Habitat and killing a few security officers before she can be subdued.

You'd have to be a hell of an infiltrator to let your mind and will be irreversibly destroyed and your body sculpted into an oversexed bimbo, all so that your master sabotage plan relies on a random worker getting exposed to too much entropy and becoming psychotically obsessed with perfecting you to the point of engineering your escape(s).

Personally, I think all the themes point to Kay Davia being someone of no importance or skills because you are not meant to be anyone important. Your escape wasn't planned and you're not even doing it for a good reason. You're just locked in a box and have been compelled to break out of it as those are your orders, issued by a dead man who chose you not because you were special in any way, but because he randomly latched onto you due to mental illness.

The only reason you succeed is because everyone capable of higher thought dropped dead before your latest attempt.

My wild guess is that "Hay"+"Dee" means "HD", an acronym for "Human Doll" maybe.
So you can probably read "HD512" as "HayDee512".

It's worth noting that while the protagonist's name isnt Haydee, she is a Haydee model
and her initials are K.D, or Kaydee

That is a good point. I always figured that "Haydee" is sort of market name - like with one of those smart speakers. And HD### - is either a model index or a serial number for a specific unit. So yeah, I think we play as Key Davia aka HD512. As for other names you can find in documents, such as mentioned Abigail, I'm pretty sure you can find them in person, laying around with number-stickers attached. If I'm correct, some of them were converted into slasher-bots.
