A 'Soulless' Sequel

Idk rn I'm tired and i'm not thinking too straight. First of concerning the title, I think what made the original haydee unique and original is completely lost in the sequel. The main story is ok at best and slashies and creepers hare a massive downgrade in comparison to the first game. Plus with the added movement like sprinting while aiming makes these two an absolute joke in this game, It doesn't help to that the verticality and overall complexity of the levels have been dumbed down imo. The inclusion of the rifle basically made all other weapons irrelevant its so damn powerful. The original setup in haydee 1 was a matter of choice and each weapon had their pros and cons, not here. I just feel the core gameplay and balance of haydee was ruined to a degree.

Is it soulless? Hell no. I can still tell that love and passion went into this game and especially the upgraded engine that allows you goobers to make the wackiest ♥♥♥♥ i've ever seen. But something is missing and I dont know what. I've even had similar statements in my review of the game. I just feel like each room in this game feels like a room and not a puzzle the player is meant to solve like haydee 1.

Finally, I lowkey want to distance myself from haydee 2. This game is so overly sexual to the point that I feel somewhat disgusted and like a degenerate playing it. Haydee 1 wasn't that in your face with the sexual stuff other than haydee herself and hell you start to ignore her after awhile and just focus on the game.

Anyways rant over and kudos to yall. As for the devs, please be weary of the mechanics you add into haydee 3 whenever (or if) that gets made. Tone down the sexual stuff and return to the unique identity haydee is known for (granted if haydee 2 is your vision for the games future, you do you). Anyways the community mods were awesome and I appreciate yall.

The modding system needs to go. It is another factor that unbalances the game as the weapons all go on steroids and as a result, the enemies can't do ♥♥♥♥. You literally become a god.

Here's an example: If I were to upgrade the magnum in Haydee 1 (basically what the rifle is) and was able to extend the clip, make it have less recoil and give it a higher fire rate, wouldn't that be unbalanced af?

If yall want to keep it make it a generic element system at least as it would make more sense but now we have a new issue of adding in more enemies to give the system a reason to exist.

Shotgun needs to be removed or as I said with the element system, make it have a purpose because without modding it is basically a worse version of the base rifle. And I dont want to hear anything about 'I have bad aim so I use the shotgun'. Anyone that has completed haydee 1 and/or 2 on either softcore and/or hardcore will have damn good aim at the end of it. Especially haydee 1 hardcore.

I agree. I also think that the Haydee 1 level design is way better and aesthetically pleasing. It reminded me of Mirror's edge and Portal. In Haydee 2 everything is cluttered.

Did you intentionally not mention the censor option from settings, or did you really just missed it out?
