Tool uses

Is there any guide explaining which tools goes where? Like at first i don't even know screwdrivers are supposed to go to vent shafts. The latest tools i've got so are the button remote control(?), and something that looks like another screwdriver in the small grated space next to it, which i don't even know what to use it for.

I know i'm dumb but please tell me what the second screwdriver thing does and also what tools am i gonna get next and what they do, thank you.

The only real answer is to just try different tools at different things if they look like it fits. But for these specifically:

- The remote control is a Wi-Fi Remote, and you can use it to activate buttons at a distance - but only if there's a Receiver on the button. Try using it in the room you got it in.
- The other tool from that room is a Jack. It goes to a door in security that needs to be jacked up to crawl underneath it.

I never found a use for the thing that looks like an electric screwdriver, and looking at the labelled map it appears there is no place to use it. Can probably be discarded upon pick up, as far as I know.

i've finished the game and i found out that everything has a use, at least once, although you are right in that it isn't required to finish the game.
On other note I appreciate the game being minimalist but it is also somewhat a con for me in that there is no label on anything. The game could at least tell the name of the item to give me a general idea of what i'm supposed to do with it.

The 'electric screwdriver' is for opening locked containers. In the room where you pick it up in Engineering it's literally on top of one such container.
