Placing items in the house & saving menu bugs

I placed some arcade cabinets (3) in the largest house in the corner of the 1st floor dining hall (right before the hallway to the bedroom), I saved and closed the game.
Today I restarted and wanted to place a 4th I just found but was unable to do it (stay red in that location, even placed away from the others), so I moved the others cabinets thinking it will resolve this but no, now I can't place anything in this whole area, items are staying red for some reason.

Also, when I place stuff in my house and save via the menu without passing a day, the game froze when returning to menu with ESC key.

Someone else mentioned they couldn't place items in a large area near the couch on the lower level after the Valentine's Day update. I have the same issue.

I placed an arcade game outside, and now I can't move or store it back to the garage.
