How can I take an item out of the pawn shop?

So there was an item I wanted to put in my house as decoration but accidentally put in my pawnshop and I don't know how to get it back. I walked up to it and there was no prompt but the shelf to the left of it had a prompt that I think said something something back something pawnshop. Someone bought it before I could figure it out unfortunately but for future reference I would like to know if it's even an option.

There's laptop near the shop NPC, that you use to upgrade the shop.

At the bottom left corner of that laptop window, there's "Automatic listing" -button, if you toggle that off, then the NPC won't take stuff out from storage. Once you've prevented him from grabbing the stuff, you can go to the item and return it to storage and claim it from there.

Once you're all done, remember to enable it, otherwise your shop won't be selling much.

To add to what Anzaman said, If I have items coming back with me I know I want to keep, I disable the autolisting first, store the new stock, pick back want I want to keep, then turn it back on.

Do you go pick it up at the garage door thing? How do you take it out

Like if it's already been listed and sat in your pawnshop

if you interact with it it should get sent back to storage then you can pick it from there i think

once you have done the above.. your item will be in the storage... you just have to click on it when at the storage door... it will then be removed and you can collect it from the yellow parking spot.... just make sure you enable the auto listing check box again when finished

Yes. Go back out to the shop storage (garage door) and click the item. It will fall in the picking area. Make sure your vehicle isn't parked there.
