The icon/symbol will be "lit up" if a collector wants it, otherwise it will be "grayed" out.
You can keep small items that the Collector will want almost every week, like hammers, screwdrivers, and other "cheap" items that are easy to hold on to.
The Collectors give out big shiny trophies as the first reward to display at home.
Your fix-it tool must be at the max to repair/clean items perfectly.
Just toss the items in your house warehouse. If you run out of room, place bigger stuff in the house. Don't need to go back and forth, if you take something home and decide you don't need it, just toss it in your truck till the next day and add it to the stuff to drop at your shops after auctions. I stored stuff away, every Monday I would look at the map to see what they wanted, and pull everything out I had to deliver, then just drop off new finds as I got them.
Agree the rewards were not great, it was just something new for me to so, so *shrug* Would also love a collection catalog to fill in, but the more they add to the game, the less likely we will get one I think. More items we have, the longer it would take to do.
Game is in early access, they will add other things to the game. Some you will like, some you might not care about. It is too soon to complain that they are not doing enough "cool" things you would like.
Thanks for the info! I don't agree with the last part, it's not major complains but feedback about how on point or not these things are in terms of mid game, end game fun. The collection should really be deeper and more satisfying, I'm hoping we can get something else than just money because, most simulation game miss that mark, they put everything into a single currency which becomes worthless when you have too much of it. We will see I guess.
There are sets to collect in the world, like Swords, Historical Shields, Antique Helmets.
Not to mention Legendary items, Victorian items, and Lunar New Year items.
all of these things provide something to do besides make money.
Believe it or not, Valentines' Day items will be added to the game soon, and another collection to hunt, and display.
Where do you display them? Do you just buy a house and use that? Also, how do you know what you are missing for a new collection, is it stuff from the wiki or its actually in game? That's a cool thing to do, I just feel there is friction in game when it comes to this stuff where it should be at the forefront.

Collections can come in 3, 5, 10, and 12.
I usualy try to get the same genre, name, title, look, and go from there.
