Collector item rotation is not great.
Love the game by the way, just my two cents about the collectors below :

First, all items just show the collector symbol even when they are not part of this week search. We can't see which item is needed without driving back ( or doing a screen capture) for the items of the week, this should be on our mobile app in game, at least after visiting them for the first time).

*UPDATE : Not sure why my clicking on the map icon didnt work, but seems like you can check the list by clicking on them. Also the icon have different colors when they are wanted for this week collection. Not the best, as you still need to keep the items around when they are not and we don't have a lot of room for keeping items, keeping tracks of what we already have and where it is.*

Also, why do we have to store these items waiting for next week? It's not a fun management feature, it just makes us do even more back and forth driving around with each little thing we hope we don't already have stored away.

The rewards are not great. I would rather have a collection catalogue for all the different items in the game. Completing series for items you have found, cleaned and sold would be more interesting than just random people for random cosmetic I think.

Even better if we could have shinny version for each items which we could proudly keep as trophies in our homes. But even this, we need some kind of warehouse where we can keep and display our greatest finds.

Anyways, I could go on and on, There is tons of cool things this game could do, right now, I'm done with everything but the collection but it's not a major motivation to continue since it's not rewarding and a pain to organise what to keep and where it needs to be delivered when it rotates.

Look at the Collector icon/symbol.
The icon/symbol will be "lit up" if a collector wants it, otherwise it will be "grayed" out.
You can keep small items that the Collector will want almost every week, like hammers, screwdrivers, and other "cheap" items that are easy to hold on to.

The Collectors give out big shiny trophies as the first reward to display at home.
Your fix-it tool must be at the max to repair/clean items perfectly.

Also to add on, if you open the map and click on the collector symbol it will bring up the list of things they are looking for.

Just toss the items in your house warehouse. If you run out of room, place bigger stuff in the house. Don't need to go back and forth, if you take something home and decide you don't need it, just toss it in your truck till the next day and add it to the stuff to drop at your shops after auctions. I stored stuff away, every Monday I would look at the map to see what they wanted, and pull everything out I had to deliver, then just drop off new finds as I got them.

Agree the rewards were not great, it was just something new for me to so, so *shrug* Would also love a collection catalog to fill in, but the more they add to the game, the less likely we will get one I think. More items we have, the longer it would take to do.

Game is in early access, they will add other things to the game. Some you will like, some you might not care about. It is too soon to complain that they are not doing enough "cool" things you would like.

Thanks for the info! I don't agree with the last part, it's not major complains but feedback about how on point or not these things are in terms of mid game, end game fun. The collection should really be deeper and more satisfying, I'm hoping we can get something else than just money because, most simulation game miss that mark, they put everything into a single currency which becomes worthless when you have too much of it. We will see I guess.

There are sets to collect in the world, like Swords, Historical Shields, Antique Helmets.
Not to mention Legendary items, Victorian items, and Lunar New Year items.
all of these things provide something to do besides make money.

Believe it or not, Valentines' Day items will be added to the game soon, and another collection to hunt, and display.

Where do you display them? Do you just buy a house and use that? Also, how do you know what you are missing for a new collection, is it stuff from the wiki or its actually in game? That's a cool thing to do, I just feel there is friction in game when it comes to this stuff where it should be at the forefront.

Collections can come in 3, 5, 10, and 12.
I usualy try to get the same genre, name, title, look, and go from there.
+1 for a compendium/encyclopedia of all items we have found, with the "not found yet" greyed out, maybe sorted by theme or rarity. It can also list the best tier we had for this item (rare / legendary and so on), prices, and why not some small trivias.
