can you still sell stuff to your own pawn shop?
i don't wanna run to black elk every time i need to sell a load of stuff from blueberry. but i'm tired of the tutorial not turning off, constantly telling me to buy the blueberry pawn shop.

i'm asking because i bought the shop in the demo, but i couldn't sell my stuff there directly without listing it. maybe i did something wrong, maybe it wasn't possible in the demo, idk. but i wanted to know if it can be done now.

It still works that way. An intentional trade-off, I think.
When you own a pawnshop you can not quick sell. You must stock, and sell the items individually.

You will always make more money from owning a pawnshop and having your employees sell everything for you.

I bought the West Black Elk last to use as a quick sell drop-off in the early game, but for mid, and late game it's a good strategy to buy all three pawnshops because you can always go across the bridge, and pick up money waiting for you at your shops.

You will not have access to quick-sell cash.

that's a shame. but i guess it means you end up focussing solely on higher value items and auctions. why carry low value things to the pawn shop when it takes space and time away from hauling the big value stuff. but then, i'm pretty early game too, only recently bought the first truck upgrade.

i'm also guessing though, that buying a home in black elk is smart and probably the best way to get started there.
Let your auction level, and tools guide your progression.
There is no need to go to higher-level auctions if your tool can't verify higher-quality items, and the other tool can't fix them.
It will cost money to get items verified by the appraisers and go to the locksmith.

ok, 3 questions then.

what are the limits of the auction level and tool levels?

how do you even use the apraisers? i've brought guns to the army guy and he does nothing.

can you unlock things on your own eventually? how? or is it cheaper to just sell the locked items?
You are starting a new career as a Storage Hunter so this is a rags-to-riches game.
The Vehicles, verify tool, Fix it tool, pawnshop, and homes can all be upgraded over time.
Even the towns need to be leveled up to receive the area rewards.

I believe you can level the tools to 5, and this will verify everything, and you can fix everything to perfection. This takes time.

When you find an item you can't verify you can look to see what it is like (military).
Look at your map, and you will find a Military appraiser you can take the item to get verified for a fee.
Make sure this is a business building you walk into, and talk to the NPC.
This also works for Locksmith, just look for the padlock icon, and take locked items to them to be unlocked for a fee.
