Early game guide
Just a quick idea on what to focus on early on:

Priority List

Get the Repair Tool ($750)
The repair tool is essential for fixing damaged items, allowing you to increase their resale value.

Earn 10k Renown in Bluebarry Village
Renown will help unlock more opportunities, better auctions, and higher-value buyers.

Purchase Your Own Pawn Shop ($2000)
Having your own pawn shop will give you more control over sales and allow you to keep more profits.

After These Priorities assess Your Storage Situation: If you have many unidentified items, prioritize upgrading the identification tool. Otherwise, focus on upgrading your pawn shop for extra storage and specialization.

Avoid Spending on Identifications: Don’t waste money on having other pawn shops identify your items unless you're running out of space. That money could go toward purchasing the identification tool.

When to Let Others Identify Your Items: Only pay for identification when the item is two levels above your current tool. For example, if you have a level 2 tool and find an item that requires level 4, it's worth paying for identification rather than waiting to upgrade.

Bidding on Storage Units

Be the Highest Bidder: Always aim to be the highest bidder. Generally, you will recoup your costs from units, so don’t worry about occasional losses.
Track Multiple Units: If you purchase multiple units, keep track of their contents to avoid confusion. Even if it seems overwhelming, you should recover your investment over time.

Traveling to Other Towns

Optimize Your Trips: When visiting other towns, make sure you bring items to be identified. You don’t want to waste time and money traveling just for identification.

Pawn Shop Management

Manage Locked Chests: Before your pawn shop autostocks and prices items, ensure that you bring locked chests to the smith. Otherwise, your shop may sell items before you have a chance to unlock and assess them.
