Hey everyone!
Happy New Year and hope you are all safe and well :)
We're still hard at work over here and taking suggestions.
Here is the latest update for Metagroove!

-Drumkit added. Load beat sounds (or any sounds) and have them react to other music!
-Ultra wide screen monitors support
-Animation settings for in game HUD (use U)
-Improved performance for various objects
-Scale smoothing (use T)
-Vortex animation recycling
-Mute audio track for drumkit
-Sequencer fixes
-Various other bug fixes

Cannot start on macOS 10.14.6 (Mojave)

Just downloaded, it says the download has finished. I have also verified the local data files, which is strange as there are no files. When I start the metagroove through steam and shows me an error saying : An error occurred while updating Metagroove (missing executable) : /Users/myusername/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Metarune/metagroove_mac.app Just downloaded it today, e.g. 21.Nov. Thank you. Looking forward. :)...

Big Content Update! Alpha v0.3

So much thanks for trying it and helping us out with your feedback!

What's new:

Sequencer - Add events to make an entire sequence of visualization, everything customizable
Particle systems - Add various particle systems to your visualization
Object mover - Now you can move any object around with the mouse
Vortex updates - you can customize the size and shape of the vortex
Logo object - a dedicated object for adding your logo, from a transparent image
Multiple animations - now you can select multiple animations for your layouts in some circumstances
Font selector - now you can choose multiple fonts for text
Audio improvements - select multiple audio devices for input and recording

Fixes:

Fix for video recording audio missing
Fix for custom loaded 3d models scaling
Object cycling fixes
Tons of other fixes

Hey all!
Thanks for your support, comments, question, and ideas. We're
really making a lot of progress! Your help has been invaluable so far.
Our Mac update is a little delayed, but there is a version now up to play with.
It should be updated with the newest stuff tomorrow!

Here is the list of improvements we've added to the update:

New stuff

Background landscapes added (Sci fi, Rocky Hills, Corridor, Industrial)
Material Editor - Add various material types to objects
New effects (Crosshatch, Painterly, Glitch)
Now Mp3, Wav, Aiff, and Ogg support, super fast loading
Some new models added
Some new characters added
Background Scaling options
Audio input options

Bugfixes

Randomizer fixed
Hotkeys and help fixed (Help is now H)
Audio fixes in Video recording (Video recording is shift + R)
Shape cycling fixes (Press 1 to cycle different objects)
Save settings fixes (Press shift + 1, 2, etc to save your settings)

As we continue to do updates and fixes, please join our discord to add
your ideas and comments, we'd love to hear them! This is still a work
in progress so be prepared to find some more bugs. We will get to them :)

How to use?

I saw the post on Reddit, got hooked and when I got the email that's available I was really excited. Still am! I am just very confused on how to use it. Are there any "How to use" videos or just text guides in the making?

Choosing Custom Environment/ background

what file type is the game expecting? image? video? Unity scene? What file type for custom models? I am not family with game dev in unity but I can sure as heck download some assets and plug them in... lol Thank you

bug report: generate is broken if you use preset mode first

bug report: generate is broken if you use preset mode first if you start a preset and select a track, when you hit esc to return back to the menu and then click generate, it will load the generate menu in a weird layout where all the boxes are on the bottom, and you cannot select layouts on the right side. nothing will fix the mode until you exit and reload the program great little tool tho! keep up the good work!...

Glitches during randomising, and no option to increase graphic quality?

I was trying the presets and the thumbnails show really good quality, but when I try them on, the graphics are basically PS2 hagrid. I have 4GB VRAM and most games look spectacular on this, I don't know why the graphics won't look better :(. Also came across a glitch where I clicked on random during generation and the tabs for different parameters won't work plus all their names changed to MAIN MENU. Cool program dev! Also from r/wearethemusicmakers! Look forward to see this become the dopest visualiser ev...
