Sam & Max: Freelance Police ANY CHANCE?
Skunkape? Could you now finish or redo Sam & Max: Freelance Police????
Please? At least save some assets? Or the general plot? Make a remake?

That would be my number one gaming dream........

You know, I was just about to ask that, but thank you!

In any case, I'm really hoping that this recent influx of Sam-and-Max-related merchandise all leads to something... the action figures, the VR game, the remaster of Save the World... I'm hoping that the revenue generated from all of these (plus the possible remasters of Beyond Time and Space and The Devil's Playhouse) will lead to Freelance Police being brought back from the dead.

All those who wish for the game back, don't be afraid to speak up!

How much of "Freelance Police" was finished back then?
Honestly I doubt that it would be possible to get the assets from back then. But, yeah, more Sam&Max games are more than welcome :)

I think there was a tiny plot leak many years back that talked about a mind control conspiracy, which suggests that, whatever they actually did finish under LucasArts, it might have already been recycled into Save the World.

I guess we can hope that this release is popular enough that they redo all seasons and thereby leads to enough interest to make that game or another one.

I really just want more Sam and Max.

Yeah, it was also my impression that the Save the World aka the first season of Telltale's Sam&Max was influenced by the abandoned Freelance Poiice (also regarding the art style).

I just hope Save the World will be successfull enough to fund the other seasons :)

Yeah, Sam mentioned that case in Season 1....and he doesn't like talking about it.

From what I've heard, it seems like Freelance Police is in a weird landlocked place where it's likely if we every do see the game, it's going to be a while from now, and from what i recall is sounded like Save The World, though made by the same people, didn't have much to do with Freelance Police. Maybe there's some influence but I don't a whole lot from what I've heard.

the thing is that "Freelance Police" had a proper gaming budget, vs "Save the World", which is rather barebones in terms of animations and graphics.

You also need to take into account that Save the world was released episodically and was, at the time, developed by a relatively new and unknown studio. It wasn't so much that Save the world didn't have the budget for high quality animations and graphics, more that the budget was stretched thin. It had to be split among 6 individual episodes with a majority of the budget for later episodes being financed from the sales of previous ones. Not only that, but every episode really only had about a month and a half of development time each.
