Easy is too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard
I love the original DUNE way back, then the whole C&C series, Red Alert etc.

Thus, I like this game as well, but, easy is way too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard and its starting to get tedious.

How do you build? This game is about big bases and big armies.

Some tips:
2 harvesters per resource node
Build your base towards resources
Tech lab should be down by around the 3 minute mark
Build more production buildings to increase unit build speeds.

Base expansion is key, turtling in this game will get you killed.
Like Noodle said, 2 Harvesters per node.
Use Forward HQ for base expansion/map control.

It's too hard no matter what. Agreed. I'm refunding.

Well, at first, you need at least 3 refinery to keep enough income to training units and building, then more and more motorpool for faster vehicle training speed, make sure each oil drill has 1 refinery and 2 harvesters, when you have enough vehicle, like heavy tanks, artillery, then you can think of attack, personally I prefer using tanks crush everything, but some map is better for navy, then I'll focus on navy and air craft.

When you see AI's superweapon countdown ready, keep moving your units, when you see superweapon icon on ground is too late.

I have some videos against Insane AI, hope that will be help.

I watched videos on it.
It just made it even worse.
Too hard. Too stressful. No thanks.
And I'm a former SC2 player.

I am sick and tired of developers settings difficulty limits to "barely manageable" just to laugh at how their players struggle.
NO, I don't mind hard games.
I play the Souls games religiously.

This... is just garbage. It's not fair, it's not a challenge, it's just blatantly, insanely overtweaked.

Well, if you think this is too hard, maybe can try easy or other games, like AOE2DE or others, I know I played suck, but I'll not say game is garbage or whatever.

Or maybe someone just trying to fishing here, I don't know.

As you're not paying attention, since I posted the OP, the game has been patched and the difficulty modes have been balanced. Easy is now Easy.

Do try and keep up.

Well, my word is to AtlasRedux. I know Easy is difficult at first, I recorded that when Early Access released.

Some campaign mission also difficult before patch, also got some bug before.

Addressed.
Not fixed. Not even remotely.
I refunded it yesterday exactly because of the absolute garbage difficulty level.

Yeah I'm on old fart that grew up on C&C games... I like the casual nature of the games so I tend to just relax and play on easy.

This game may have been inspired by the old Westwood gold, but the gameplay really doesn't have the same feel. Easy is too hard... The AI just sends a constant stream of unending units that you have to constantly manage and address. Every mission I've played has a timer as one of the win conditions which adds a ton of unnecessary stress to a game. Would be nice if "easy" disabled the timer win condition. Hopefully there's a mod out there that does that.

I knew I was a scrub at RTS games, but I'm only on Mission 6 Easy and I can't expand fast enough before the enemy dumps a bajillion mans on me from every direction

maybe I should just skip the silver objective this time(don't kill any enemy production) and come back for it later

As you destroy enemy units and buildings you do gain bonuses which do help though it is a bit of a grind. And completing objectives helps you unlock things and give you an advantage.

Though of course can always come back later and work those you couldn’t get before.

In westwood games you had simple DPS, so people tend to turtle for an hour to build only most expensive units (with high dps/hp). Modern RTS have some kind of paper-rock-scissor logic - in 9-bit ther's anti-vehice/anti-infranty thing: for example tanks are anti-veh and do 150% damage to vehicles but only 50% to infantry. If you check enemy units killed stats you will notice that AI is building mostly infranty (like up to 90% of land units). So if you play "westwood" style and go pure most expensive units available (tanks) than you can find campaign to be "too hard". If go with pure anti-inf units like armor vehicles which counter most units in campaign the game will be "too easy".

Hopefully they will improve AI to adapt/change infrantry/vehicles/air/navy untis ratio so the game will be more interesiting...
