Problem with typing the letter I in the hacking minigames

Hello all. I'm thoroughly enjoying Peri and have been playing it quite a bit looking for different routes to take and methods to use, but I have a persistent issue that I'm not sure how to solve.

I am entirely unable to type the letter I in the hacking minigames. The game seemingly adds a new character in the middle of the word when the next character is an I, and it's impossible to type that character (Screenshots below, they are from the Chasm level, but it's the same in every hacking minigame with an I in the word). The only exception to this is if it's at the start of a word, then it's fine and I can type it. I thought that this was related to the keyboard layout I am using, Turkish (in which, alongside the dotted lowercase (i) and the dotless capital (I), there is also a dotless lowercase (ı) and a dotted uppercase (İ)), but changing my keyboard layout didn't help, so I thought it could be because the system language is Turkish and on an English laptop the issue would be gone. Unrelated to this I acquired a new laptop recently, which I set up in English, and the issue *still* persists, no matter what keyboard layout I use.

I haven't seen anyone else experience this issue in the discussions here. I am sure it's Unity getting confused with the four different I's, but why would the issue continue on an English language system and keyboard layout? Any ideas on what I can do? Thanks for reading.

Why does it show over 9000 attempts left? Are you using cheatengine? Might have sometihng to do with it maybe?

The server password in Chasm was always 9999 tries, I'm not using CE. I'm guessing they did that because it's crucial to get to continue on in the level.

Very interesting, it does seem to be a locality issue. Glancing at the code it seems to be a problem with Unity, so I think you might have to get some program to make a macro.

I got that as much really. It's the same with every Unity game. Weird to me that 20-30 year old engines don't have such an issue but Unity does, but then again when has Unity been flawless and work correctly? Thanks for the suggestion either way.

Oyunun yapımcıları bu sorunu çözer mi (hatta oyun motorundan sıkıntı olduğu için direk çözme kabiliyetleri var mı) bilmiyorum, Türkiye'de de Peripeteia gibi acayip bağımsız yapımlara çok aşırı ilgi yok. Çözebilseler de daha oyunun yarısı yapılacak, bu eforu sarf etmeye değecek değerde görmeyebilirler (zaten 1 adam diye biliyorum ekip). Umarım yardımcı olabilmişimdir.
