Strange reaction to throwing anything

I was just enjoying my time and decided to throw explosives some dude gave me to blow up door at soldiers and they like aggroed but to nothing? They directly see as i throw explosives at them but they remain neutral to me while their eyes turn red and they start searching for someone. Is it like ok?
