You shouldn't. The game supports PS4 and PS5 controllers natively.

Indeed. I use a PS4 controller myself and the button prompts were displayed fine. If it is not working for you, please try the following:

1. Right-click the game in Steam > Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files
2. Still in properties, change the input options under "Controller", to see if that fixes the issue for you.
