Phoenotopia 2 Still in the works ?

I've been following the dev blog since finishing out Phoenotopia (Flash ver) when I was still young, been a long time and poured 60 hours for a full 100%

I've seen that Quells was working on the sequel (THERE'S NO WAY you'll pull out a HL2:E2 :( with THAT cliffhanger) so I'd like to know if the sequel is still in the works since I remember you working on it before switching to the remake of Phoenotopia

Same, played it on NG in 2014 soon after it came out, 100%'d the achievements, chatted with Quells and he said he wanted to make a sequel, but first he wanted to remake the first game. Hard to believe that was 7 years ago!

I also think it's cute that it released on switch in august 2020, exactly 6 years after the original.
