Key bindings keep resetting

Just started playing the game, but whenever I advance to the next room, the game resets the keyboard controls to the original settings. This is quite a nuisance as standard movement for example is set to wasd but my keyboard is zsqd so when I want to move forward it zooms instead. I've quite had it with having to change them each time and tried googling, but found no-one else with similar issues. Would anyone know the cause, or possibly a fix for this? Thank you.
