Game not displaying properly

The game looks like its in portrait mode and black bars on the side. main menu looks okay, but clicking any menu option causes the choices to be hidden under the black bars.

Sounds like this is not a terribly common issue if no one else is chiming in. I've having this problem as well. I was able to work through it for a while, but now it's totally unplayable.

I tried flipping the graphics settings between window and full screen. Now, only about the middle third of what is supposed to be shown horizontally is actually on screen, but it's stretched and distorted across the whole monitor.

The black bars on the side are part of the new anti motion sickness options. You can remove them in the options > motion sickness > use letterbox - off
Also, set the screen resolution to the native monitor resolution and it should be fine ;)

At this point, the display is so messed up I can't even change the settings anymore. When I open the settings screen, I only see a sliver stretched out across the whole screen. The button to turn off motion sickness is off screen.

You can try to turn off the game and after that delete your saves (.sav files) in: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Pine Studio\Escape Simulator\
After that the game should reload factory settings.
