Did you try enabling cross-platform in the game options?
The server was set to coop crossplatform, but no i didn't. I didn't find that option.
Thanks. Colleague confirmed in the other thread this is a temporary setback. The fix is coming soon. Thanks for your patience
Just purchased the game on quest to play with my friends on steam also having the issue with game version cant play together :(
I heard from another developer that the problem can be solved by changing a networking setting in the steam version of the game. Here's the message.
"Hey Joe tnx for supporting us,
Currently there are different versions of the game but this is only for a short period of time. Oculus and Steam update are both coming next week. You can still crossplay just make sure that the host player has smaller version of the game, which would be Oculus at the moment. Also make sure Steam player has selected Cross platform under Options > Advanced > Network protocol."
