Does everyone need the DLC?
I know there's no friend pass for the game and everyone playing needs a copy, but what about for the DLC packs?

Hey Devinkills,

Everyone needs the DLC to play the new levels. Each DLC we make takes a ton of time and effort to craft, and if we made it so only the host has to own the DLC, it just wouldn't be financially viable for us to make them.

If that's not your cup of tea, we have two free DLC-s you can try with your group of friend. The Portal Escape Chamber and the Among Us. There is also a ton of high quality user created rooms.

Have a great weekend!

Love the game, although I don't know if your comment is totally true. My friend offered to buy the DLC bundle this sale, and I said "wait let me make sure you only need one person to buy it"

He declined to buy it since I couldn't play with him without also buying it, so technically the $13 you would have made from it turned to $0. I think it does depend on the circumstance though. I'm sure it is more money overall?

Payday 2 allowed it to work that way, the host could create a DLC mission and others without the DLC could join.

Look at CoD paid DLC maps in older years how the DLC maps had essentially no one playing them because all players needed to own it.

Anyway fun game, just my two cents.

Thank you for enjoying the game and supporting our work!

We believe that the price is fair, especially considering the amount of base content you get with the game without any of the paid DLCs. Having everyone own the DLC for multiplayer is a decision made to ensure funding for supporting the game since its launch, and we have been doing that for three years so far.

By the way, the Steam Summer Sale is ongoing, and a bundle with all DLCs is currently 38% off.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support!
