Where was the clue for the Braille numbers in Omega: The Elevator?

Just played through this room with my brother and for the life of us we could not find any clues about what the puzzle for Floor 7 meant. Are you just supposed to connect the dots to realize how the Braille numbering system works or something??? Or?
Only after I googled the Braille Number system did it make sense. (Didn't use the in game clue button).

Hi Bonkers. The answer is 674. Why?

You don't have to know Braille to solve the puzzle. If you check the dots on the hint, you see the first one is of different color.

If you combine the first one, and each next one, you get the symbols that are next to 6, then next to 7 and finally 4.
