For example you see that 2 out of 3 models have 3 red molecules, and the other one has only 2 red molecules -> that's the odd one out for the red group, which means that you need to enter the digit "2" on the keypad corresponding to the red molecule.
Apply the same logic to the blues and whites and you'll get the code.
Also annoying that you have to wait for 6-7 clues before getting the one you need. Unfortunately, I can't think of a way to provide the right clue immediately.
I haven't found a single puzzle in this game to be unfair until this one -- moon logic.
The puzzle is super annoying and frustrating. The way the clue is written makes me think that ONE of them should be correct and should have the total sum of correct colors. Instead, this idiot scientist decides to print 3 incorrect models for no reason? It's not logical. It makes no sense. The puzzle should be figuring out which one is the correct model, instead it's spot the difference and it's absurdly irritating how the clue is written.
I didn't really have this issue with any other puzzle in the game, so I do think it would be good for the devs to take a look at this and rework it slightly so it's not so insanely obtuse.
