Hello everyone!
This thread contains some of the questions asked quite frequently about Escape Simulator.

When will Escape Simulator be released?
Escape Simulator is out now on Steam!

The game has 28 rooms to play and more than 4000+ community-made ones available via Steam Workshop! There are also 2 DLCs: Steampunk and Wild West.

How many players can play in multiplayer?
For multiplayer, we recommend 2-3 players for the best experience, even though you can play with up to 8 players!

Where do I report a bug?
The best place to report a bug is directly on our Discord Server[discord.com] in the #bugs channel. You can also write a report here on Steam in the Bug Reports sub forum, fill out a Google Form[docs.google.com] or the form on our website[pinestudio.com]).

Is there a friends pass, or every player need a copy of the game?
No, there's no friends pass. That is why we've chosen a lower price point for the game to make it easier for groups to buy it.

What languages is the game translated to?
The game is playable in English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish, German and Italian language. We plan to add more languages, starting with Russian and Polish.

Yes, of course! Since the release we've added 13+ new rooms and multiple updates. We are still working on more free rooms and qol updates.

Yes, there's a voice and text chat option in the game. Press "Enter" to start the text chat, and you can turn on voice chat in the options and use "G" or "L2" on a gamepad to talk in-game.

What's the difference between legacy and non-legacy hosting?
Both use peer to peer. Legacy is direct, and non legacy uses steam as vpn. If the regular hosting doesn't work, try the legacy one.

What's up with the level editor?
You'll have a chance to design your own rooms using a simple in-game editor in the room editor. We support Steam Workshop so you can share your creations and try out rooms made by our incredible community.

Is the game available on Mac, Linux and SteamDeck?
Yup, from day one. Also, we support cross-platform multiplayer so you can play between all the platforms!

Do you plan to support more platforms?
In the future, we would love to port the game to mobile devices (iOS and Android) and consoles (PlayStation 4/5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox).

What about VR support?
Escape Simulator is now fully playable in VR, with support available since April 2024 as a free update. We support most popular VR headsets, and we're continuously working on refining the experience in preparation for a standalone VR version.
