Ah ok thank you!
Mind you, i haven't been able to get that far, i usually just get completely obliterated by the enemy strike groups.
To avoid a Strike group (or start a combat under your terms) you need to understand how radar works.
The game is almost realistic with this.
All ships have a radar signature. That means if you're inside a radar range and your signature is big enough you will be detected 100% of the time.
Sevastopol radar signature is 750km.
The best radar in the game will spot it at maximum distance.
But that also means a 500km radar will not spot the ship. It needs to get into range first.
A Skylark have a 463km radar signature. Even the best radar need to close in to spot this ship.
So first hint: Use Scout/Strike groups and make sure the sevastopol will face no trouble going from A to B.
Its a expensive ship to move around so better avoid direct combat with it.
Radars in this game comes at 3 ranges.
750km
500km
400km with tracking
250km with tracking.
Tracking = You see the position in real time, no need to look for the dots and interpret the position + speed of the enemy.
Most strike groups use the 500 or 400km radar.
Now comes the Elint system. It have a 1500km range if it have no obstructions.
It have 5 lvs. Get the max lv of your device and divide by 5. (So 300km = 1 bar).
With a sevastopol if you reach 3 bars. There is a chance the enemy will have spoted you and can safely launch missiles.
With the skylark you can get as close as 4 bars as they have a smaller signature.
So just remember to have fuel and avoid the Strike groups as needed.
use the shipwork to learn the Radar signature of Each Ship and the maximum range of the Elint system.
You can modify the ships too.
For example my first modification in the game was giving my Skylark a 400km radar. So i could track convoys better and intercept them.
To find their exactly location without being spotted you need.
1-> Use a Aircraft. They cant engage a aircraft unless you look for the fight. (Unless its a enemy carrier).
2-> Use a IRS ship with very low radar signature like the one below.
A rook with no weapons that only job is to find the Heat signature of the enemy or see the target before running away.
Also so cheap that if its shot down i will not worry about it.

Sure, you do need to learn to use that IRS, but its not that hard once you get used to it and understand the range is " only " 300km.
You can also hunt hidden citys with it as it spends very little fuel.
1-> Only move the sevastopol and ships that consume too much fuel when you need them or towards the objective. (North)
For east and west citys and even if you need to go back a bit. Use Strike groups, Going as light as possible. Most citys early game die to 1 ship like the rook or lighting that just need a tanker help to get there.
For starting fleet. Get 2 nimble ships to quickly deal with garrisons.
2 tankers (Skylark) for them + early warning.
They clear the way for the sevastopol to only go towards the objective. And can also explore the map. Also fast + Small ships will not give enough time for the garrison to alert the strike groups.
outside of those 4 ships get 2 heavy ships to kill strike groups. 1 Of them head-on so the sevastopol can avoid that job.
The other can be a carrier as long you remember to buy bombs and missiles to literally "throw money" until the enemy is dead :P.
I persinally go for 2 head-on ships and try to buy Missile boats or carriers to give myself the longrange assets i need to deal with strike groups.
I also get 2 of those fast scout ships now, but im still kind testing them XD.
To get money.
-> Capture convoys.
-> Scavenge weapons and sell them in the city.
-> Scavenger some sensors form the sevastopol. The 750km radar alone cost 10.000 and the ship still have two 400km radar scanners + extra passive radars + Heat Scanner that can also be sold or be used to still have some sensors. (I only keep 2 elints + two 400km radars with tracking. All other sensors i sell).
there is also the missiles, but i would recommend keeping the K9 AA missiles to shoot ballistic missiles coming towards you. The 2 nuclear ones + R5 can be sold.
They are useful but for now your objective is to learn to make money, so use it to buy yourself more time to play and try.
Also as you find problems. go to the shipwork and see if you can´t fix that problem by adding (or removing) something from the ship.
+firepower
Maybe +engines for +speed in battle.
etc.
All those ships can be purchased when you start a new game.
Story mode with lower difficulty has been confirmed and and should be here pretty soon.
