My daughter is the paw patrol expert in the house, she usually plays on switch but I picked this up pretty cheap for her on sale so she could play on my rog ally

My 4yo daughter loves it! It is great and everything seems to be working fine (so far!) after its last update. She is very happy we bought this game.

The same boring game as always just with a terrible view distance that makes the driving games even hard for adults.
Want to replay a certain part of a mission? Too bad, do it all again.
Want to know which Minigames you have already completed on Gold level? Too bad, do them all again, we're not telling.

I only recommend this if you really hate your child and want to watch it suffer.

I confirm what others state - the game is bugged to the point it breaks the game. It is outrageous to release such untested game, with so simple (and boring) mechanics and still did not test it enough. Seems like it wasn't tested at all!

I played and got through the previous two Paw Patrol games. Both were average. The gameplay is painfully simple, thus good for kids, but I'm bored out of my mind. The same thing is with this game.

6 different official xbox controllers and none of them work. Devs are incompetent.

My 3 year old loves this game. Easy enough for them to play.

This game is very buggy and doesn't work with Steam Big Picture.

This is better than Paw Patrol: On a Roll but it's still worse than Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay.

In PAW PATROL: Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay, they had an option to SKIP cutscenes. Now, as the sequel of that game one should EXPECT it to also be here BUT OF COURSE IT ISN'T. Most you could do is Mash the A button but it doesn't help when OVER HALF OF THE CUTSCENES AREN'T SKIPPABLE ANYWAY.

This game follows the events of the movie (I think I never paid attention to the plot of the game or watched the movie). This game plays badly, no keyboard support (a controller is REQUIRED to play this game) and I swear I had input delay during my gameplay. Speaking of which, the gameplay is very monotonous and tedious, all levels involve you just collecting pup treats and playing boring 'minigames'. The levels have very linear progression and doesn't have the freedom that Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay or PAW PATROL World do.

The minigames just suck. There is a dedicated menu for them (and the games unlock as you progress) but they are also sprinkled throughout the main missions. You have to play the same horribly responding driving minigame for AT LEAST 30 TIMES, and collect all the pup treats in ALL OF THEM for completion. God forbid the unresponsive controls cause you to miss ONE and you have to REPLAY THE ENTIRE LEVEL AGAIN JUST TO ATTEMPT IT AGAIN. The other minigames exclusive to the section involve: jump through hoops in an area, collect treats in an area, Paw Patrol subway surfers and collect treats, and DDR (Dog Dance Revolution). Basically all of these games have little to no uniqueness from the mechanics of the actual game, and playing them are a chore.

Frankly the worse part of this game is the inconsistency of the progression. When you play the main missions, there isn't a numerical indicator of how many treats have been collected on the menu and only appears in the levels themselves (except for the driving section). HOWEVER, there is a VISUAL indicator for if you've completed a level as the next level won't be available if you don't complete the one before and there is an 'outline' around each mission that sorta indicates the amount of treats you've obtained. At least it tells me I have to go back and get more treats and/or I've completed that level.

Now, I have to ask. WHY IS THIS ABSENT FROM THE MINIGAMES SECTION. The ONLY indication of having completed a level is if the NEXT LEVEL IS UNLOCKED. BUT YOU CAN"T ASSUME THAT BECAUSE SOME OF THE MINIGAMES LEVELS ARE UNLOCKED AT RANDOM. ALSO, THERE IS NO INDICATION FOR THE PUP TREAT TOTAL I HAVE ON THAT LEVEL. I had to go back to 4 levels because I didn't know IF I GOT EVERY PUP TREAT. The last thing about the minigames, why can't I see the objectives of some of the games? Some of the driving levels have different objectives such as: Collecting trash and getting to the finish before a certain time. WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAUSE A LEVEL JUST TO SEE THAT.

TLDR: Buy Paw Patrol Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay or buy the new Paw Patrol World. This game has nothing new or good to offer that isn't already included in those two games.

My daughter (5) was able to play the game without a problem using a Stadia controller.
This was the first video game that she played with a controller.
She has a hard time controlling the pups, which is not entirely the game's fault.

The game is very uninspiring, just got thru a path collecting all the treats.
There are a couple of different scenarios where the game changes a little, like the swimming stage or the inter stage car mini game.

But she gets easily lost and doesn't know where to go next. Something indicating the direction she should go would be really welcome.

And the minigames are not that inspired either.

Bought this as part of a bundle of games and do not recommend unless deeply discounted.

Can't get passed the title screen. Reading comments, this is a common problem and they refuse to fix it.

I found a fix after reading many comments. Sometimes if you have too many USB peripherals plugged in, you can't select start on the controller. Unplug as many as you reasonably can and try again.
