Fixing Deep Scratch
Can someone please explain the deep scratch process before I lose my mind. All I can do is strip the paint and then it's hundreds of dollars to just pain the bloody thing.

deep scratches seems like a hit and miss there is a hit box on deep scratches but the hit box is really small, and you need the pro kit as well

First you need to use the sandpaper thing. Even when the scratch is completely filled white, keep using it till the tool goes away and gets replaced with the paintbrush. Same thing then, keep using it till the tool gets replaced. Finally use the polishing tool in rotating motions. Takes me a good 4 mins to fix a scratch that way.

Yeah that worked but my god my wrist is painful. That's the single worst part of the game. They'll need to fix that.

The idea is good, but the process is too long. If it would be the same "time" as the headlight restore, would be perfect.

Nailed it. Spending 5-10 minutes going over the same white line is frustrating.

For me the problem is the animation and the camera moving alone, i hate that...

I wonder this as well, why did they change it to a kind of swiveling camera and not use the standard attached camera accessed by E from the default polishing mechanics or when wiping the car.
But would already be an improvement if they got rid of the arrow indication every time you zoom in on the deep scratch if the swiveling camera is harder to fix.

Just rotate the sandpaper in a circle motion. It'll get the majority of the scratch sorted out and then you just go back to the parts you missed and scrub at it vertically.
