It's just a tough market for Asymetrical Games, when DbD has been around for like 8 years.
TCM is a good quality game, and the fact they still pushing contect and different game modes, is a good thing. Definitly will bring me back to the game
The problem for me is the frequency of content, it's not good at all because it takes too much time to release new stuff like character and maps, and some weird bugs are not being fixed fast.
But considering the game has 1 year, it already got alot of new content.
Got some new maps, got some new Family and Victims.
Considering it's his first year, that's already pretty decent.
Try putting this in comparison with a big game like DbD that launches new content every 2.5 months, it's definitly not on the same terms but still a good thing.
Unfortunatly the Devs don't have the same budged as bigger companies, so the content will always take longer to come.
But one thing can be apreciated, it took them less then 1 year to make a new game mode and that is really nice. We just gotta wait and see if it's any good or something.
I'm, personally quite excited to come back to the game after a break.
EDIT: Hopefully they delayed it, so that they enable people to play with friends.
