I think the explanation was that sissy gave nubbins the straight razor. This game is a prequel after all. And hitch used to own a knife just like Franklins, that's why he wanted to see it in the van.

Btw, as a straight razor user, I have to say I have no idea why they always include it as a weapon in movies and games. The blade is sharp, yeah, but it's micro thin, literally thinner than a piece of paper on its webbing, it's also extremely brittle. you can crack a straight razor easily by just dropping it in a sink. It has no handle to speak of, the metal grips machined into the blade could only fit maybe two fingers around it, the scales (what some would actually call the handle) aren't a handle at all, they're designed to fold up and protect the blade when not in use. They're made of like 1/8" thick wood or plastic and bend and shatter easily. Plus, if you grabbed it by the scales, the blade itself would still be flopping around in your hand, and you're probably more likely to cut yourself if it were to like rebound off whatever you're hitting and close on your fingers.

Like literally any old kitchen steak knife would make a 10x better weapon than a straight razor. but whatever, rant over.

yeah well in the movie nubbins never killed with the razor he just slashed their backs and cut himself, my point is if he does not have it then there is no reason for sissy to have it
