How will they add new content when this game is based on an existing IP and needs to be lore accurate?

I feel like this is my biggest concern. Unlike dead by daylight which can add whatever this game can't which limits its content potential. How do you think they can add new content?

this game happens before the events of the movies. The devs can add original maps, original characters, original killers, etc...
if the game goes well, maybe they even expand through the other movies.

I heard they have the director helping them come up with concepts from his ideas that didn't make it into the movie like Sissy and Johnny so if that's the case I'm sure they'll keep that up

Devs already explained they are free to add all the original content they want (maps, characters, etc.). License is only for the 1st movie so they can't add things taken from other movies.

They have the license only for the first movie (1974). If the game will be successfull and they want (can?) buy licenses for other movies we don't know... But adding original content will be good, they can make the map they want and use the characters of the 1st movie.

That's easy. You just need to be creative. Luckily the dev team is actually talented in that department and don't need to be handicapped by adding cameos of existing IPs everywhere. Don't worry about that, they absolutely love the horror genre and know what they're doing.
