95/100 from PC Invasion is more ridiculous and unrealistic to me.
Victims can survive solo pretty easily, teamplay is not needed to win so rage quiting should only affect the game if it happens at the very beginning. I cannot see a reason a Family member would rage quit unless the match already ended anyway (ie. people are BMing at the exit or exploiting the game in some way).
But like... people will always find a reason to rage quit. A lot of people, especially kids have a very short temper.
Also this is a party game, like F13th, majority of players played for fun not to destroy the oponents by any means necessary so hopefully the same mindset will cary over to this game too. When people rage quit in F13th, it was when they died or were getting bullied. Everyone still got their XP, everyone moved on, no hard feelings mostly - there will always be someone who takes this all too seriously, that is a given in games like this.
I am 100% sure some kind of penatly will be implemented if the playerbase is big enough and the devs see data that suggest this is actually hurting the game.
But I can't live with the most fun escape objective. The car. That was the most fun thing in f13 for me and they ofc didnt include it here.
But the incredibly boring gen spam. it is. Ridiculous.
Only thing I maybe will at least take with some concern is mention of technical issues, I want to assume it's the case of they got an early version that didn't fix these issues and they'll be fixed on launch, but time will tell and that's why I'm waiting till last day to buy and then- well try it out myself and either refund it or keep it depending on experience.
Otherwise honestly most of the review is just- describing the game, terrible potshots and probably other stuff I forgot since I watched it at 2x speed.
It's why I'd rather watch streamers for it, get to see actual gameplay and it's state, then go from there to see if it's worth buying.
Unfortunately no streamers to actually 'showcase' this launch, so I'm just going to wait till last day before it's released, buy it and go from there, refund hopefully possible if it hits the fan, but I'm hoping it doesn't.
Probably because it's a good example of how one shouldn't entirely base their expectations of a game on a reviewer, especially when they can just be bribed to give it a better score despite the game being ass. Or underscoring literal good games, which might be why people bring up Alien Isolation but, I don't care enough to play that game so I remain uncaring.
Honestly, the whole review score system is stupid anyway since it doesn't really mean much other than some guy gave it a number rating. Just show me gameplay footage instead, even if the 'reviewer' is ass at the game, or better yet drop the reviewers and just let streamers play.
That ignorant / narrow view itself shows how all those reviews are literally pulled out of their asses.
Well considering the writer stole his ending statement from this very forum: See "Dead by Daylight is done" post, I wouldn't trust the 95/100 either. What a hacky thing to do.
But I also don't trust IGN's review since they can't get ♥♥♥♥ right that you could research in 5 minutes.
