I've already made my personal comments, but after some time to reflect, they've probably decided to take a break to fix the hundreds of bugs and, at the same time, reach certain legal agreements with Kim David Henkel regarding the rest of the non-canon TCM films and how they could include them in the game.
Another thing that has me thinking is the rumor that GUN has likely picked up the F13 game and is going to re-release it remastered.
Hasn't anyone on this forum wondered if it's too much of a coincidence that the same day they announced this "hiatus" on TCM, the rumors about F13 started?

I don’t believe in coincidence. I think gun was looking for an excuse to drop this game.
If they release a remaster of Friday the 13th, I believe anyone who bought the original should get it for free. Knowing gun, very unlikely. Unless I get it for free or a friend buys it for me, I’m not playing it. I gave gun a pass with Friday because of the law suit. They are not getting a pass for tcm.

I still love this game and gonna keep playing, I just hope it doesn't get overrun by hackers, and there are still other people playing.

considering the game will be going peer-to-peer after they officially stop supporting the game i don't think the likelihood of hackers infesting the game is very high seeing as the players will by and large control who they play with and when. playerbase is bound to diminish quite a bit though.
