Ideas to step forward

I was wondering what ideas might come up here on what the best way to keep the game going might be. Handing us the keys with modding tools or server hosting as a parting gift would be great,

Not that any abandoned game has ever been so courteous, but leaving the game to the fans so we can try to keep it going seems like a much more appropriate end.
That way if the game dies the fans can at least say they tried.

I was also wondering what matchmaking would be like if we had a server browser, not just for wait times, but so we could have separate lobbies for beginners to learn the mechanics of the game better, or casual players not concerned with the meta.
