The future of and current state asymmetrical horror games
Hey guys so I’ve been thinking, since TCM is really struggling right now with hackers, bugs and overly unbalanced family and victim abilities. and devs that don’t seem to care or listen to community feedback. And dbd having its own balance issues and other struggles with bugs and stuff.. I feel like this genre of games maybe struggling to keep itself going in the years to come because the devs aren’t really doing well as well as the fact that Friday the 13th license expiring and killer klownz quickly died out is dbd the only thing we’ll have left or will it burn itself out overall? The devs of TCM and KKFOS aren’t doing a good job and may end up dooming these games for good.

Edit: I just wanted to also add that the reason I wanted to post this is because TCM was the first game that got me into asym horror cause dbd seemed hard for me to learn and understand the perks and mechanics. It sucks to see the state TCM and dbd has been recently with updates

I think that online-only asymmetrical horror games should really be free to play, and they can just make their money from in-game purchases. Once the devs get your money, they can make the game unplayable anytime they want.

I can see Gun having one more go at the genre (maybe Scream or Nightmare on Elm Street) but I think the genre is kinda dying, new releases are active in the first month and then fade into obscurity.
