Well i'm pointing out, using mild humor, that instead of providing any real content or characters, they are once again focusing on pointless cosmetic dlcs.
Sorry though, i know it was a lot to read, had to be hard on you.
How's that refute the point...? Yeah exactly, as always, cosmetics first.
Well, if an external team already has several cosmerics made, and the internal team still can't fix the new character's problems, what do you suggest?
That they keep the cosmetics and don't add anything new?
Complaining about cosmetics makes no sense because the main team has nothing to do with them, and also as the person above said, they announced that they would release new cosmetics every two weeks.
These complaints remind me of Hunt Showdown players, who every time a new skin is announced they complain to the developers and demand new maps, knowing that those are two different teams.
How does any of that matter? They've prioritized cosmetics since the very beginning, that was one big complaint that made like 95% of the playerbase quit after few months after launch. They always prioritized cosmetics rather than patching or adding actual content, in a game that really really needed patching and content. The exact mechanics of how they're implementing cosmetics don't really matter.
And hence, why there's no new family dlc. There's your answer.
How are they supposed to be prioritizing cosmetics if the team that is developing characters and maps has nothing to do with it?
What you say doesn't make the slightest sense.
You can complain that the main team is somewhat incompetent in not being able to put out content in a reasonable way, but complaining about the cosmetics is about being ignorant who don't understand how content development works.
I'll make it easy for you, because it seems like you don't understand. If they hadn't hired another company to create the cosmetics, at this very moment the new member of the family would still be unavailable. because the main team still can't fix it.
What exactly are you expecting? that they don't hire anyone and to create cosmetics and these days we don't have a single new character and cosmetics.
The point is that the lack of content is due to the problems the core team is having, not because they are putting all their resources into creating cosmetics. I don't think that concept is that complicated to understand.
And they couldn't set up a system which offered timely character dlcs, or patches. Just 'cause. But they could with the cosmetics. Got it. And that's like, totally not what I originally said.
It is not a system that gives priority to cosmetics. In that you are completely wrong because giving priority means focusing on one thing and leaving aside others, and clearly that is not happening.
The main development team has as a priority the development of characters, maps and fixing bugs. That they are bad at that and have consequently caused a lot of content to be delayed is another thing entirely.
Just because you are stubborn and don't admit your mistake, accusing cosmetics of being partly the cause of content delay, doesn't make you right out of nowhere.
