The numbers don't lie. I know there are console players and Steam is "only" the 33% of the higher fidelity game industry but it's safe to assume that the console player base is declining at the same rate as Steam because of the lack of new maps and bugs the same.

No, because it depends a lot on the type of game, fighting games lose players quickly on Steam but on consoles they remain quite strong, this game may have more players on consoles. Without excluding the fact that this game was launched at the same time in game pass, so many people access the game from there. If you think using steam data you can predict how a game is doing without taking into account all the other variables, your only goal is to get attention and try to get reactions, like the guy who created this discussion.

Relying on gamepass to keep your player numbers up already means this game is doomed to fail when they all either move on to the next shiny thing or it gets removed.

As for the non gamepass console users, using DBD as a reference they are about double the steam numbers at any given moment each so we can maybe say roughly 4k combined for xbox x + ps5.

DBD has a different model. Its power is in the amount of killers, well known killers also and how many they can incorporate. They also have well known victims. It is not a comparable model/game.
