Why is this game so hard as survivor?
I'm down within the first 5 minutes even when I try my best to sneak around. Any tips?

if you are new to the game, it will take time. Just enjoy the graphics, learning the maps, planning, etc.

Get coms and crack out. You’ll be exiting the game before you know it and will be waiting in another lobby in no time. For real tho, I’ve experienced games where victims speed run in minutes…….literally minutes. Ps I hate coms in any horror game

It will take time to learn the game. In my opinion, starting off at a low level it is easier to play as family, but as you level up, it gets easier as a victim and harder as family.

1. Learn the maps, the basements, the spawns of the fuses and valve handles, etc.

2. Make your strategy based off these spawns. For example, if the pressure tank is spawned in the red room on Slaughterhouse you can serenely go for it, most definitely it will open, because it's unreal to defend it in this ♥♥♥♥ spawn.

3. It really helps when your team is working on different exits at once, so Family lose their minds and don't know what they should guard now.

4. Don't stick to just one exit that you've been working on. No need to sit in the bushes forever until Family member leaves. Better sneak your way back. Jump down the well only if necessary. Why? Because if you haven't, the Family member would be paranoid that you're still there, so now we have only 2 killers to worry about and 3 more exits.

5. Know your enemies. If Cook spotted you, just sit immediately. Loop the crawl spaces and gaps if Johnny is on you. If there's Hitchhiker, watch your feet and go through the gaps carefully. Spin Leatherface if he's trying to hit you with the overhead or make him stall on a steel object. You will be able to hear Sissy from a mile away, because girl's acting like she's always in the song contest.

6. Look up for good builds, there's tons of videos from TCM content creators. Be aware that some of the perks are bugged tho.

Everything takes time and practice. Don't get frustrated if you die a lot, like 50% of this game is luck actually.

You need to be super patient, and honestly stabbing grandpa is soooo powerful, it takes away momentum they have as family and usually pulls someone back to him which gives vicitms a good reduction in pressure.

That'll happen until you learn the maps, which translates to learning all your escape options after being seen. Until then focus on making builds that'll offer you the highest chances of surviving at your current skill level. What I did when I started off is made sure to always keep a stun on me (Leland's barge or a bone scrap), that way I could immediately stun someone upon getting found and stand at least some chance of getting away without being able to outmaneuver them.
