She has the best base stats if you're looking to avoid and never get into fights or stabbing. If you're dying with her a lot you're doing a lot of mistakes. I usually use her ability to escape from exteriors, I almost never save it for last thing to unlock because you're always more likely to be caught getting out of exteriors. Even if they catch you after you escaped exterior, you made way more progress since you'd have time to unlock the exit gate/door even if you didn't turn off gen/battery.
You can generally do what you feel is best for you, I used to run double quick recharge rate then no stamina cost but you can also go proximity debuff and then no stamina cost.
Endurance is one of the best attributes to out-run hitchiker, sissy, johnny and cook. If you have 50 endurance and Slippery, you can out-run anyone except Bubba with his chainsaw Sprint. The 15% movement speed is your only chance of escape as Connie; she can out-run hitchiker with Scout.
Hitchiker with Scout has 308 movement speed, Connie with Slippery has roughly 354 movement speed, making her only slower than Bubba, who has 384 movement speed with chainsaw Sprint.
If your goal is to maximise your survival, 50 endurance. Choose Fight and slippery is the best way.
With 50 endurance, you have 1 second stamina delay before it fully recharges. This is the equivalent of Fired Up for Family, which is S+ tier perk.
Groups tend not to care about stuff like Stealth because they're coordinating and on voice coms. They'll put everything into Endurance and Proficiency on Connie because they'll have a Leland and Ana doing what they need to be doing and causing chaos.
However, I have Stealth and Proficiency very high as a solo player. I want to be able to do things quickly with as little attention as possible. Any remaining points get dumped into Endurance. Toughness and Strength are left as is.
For perks I go for perks like Choose Flight, Extra Drip, and Bomb Squad.
Choose Flight stacks are very useful on characters that have stamina issues. It's what helps me get to a well.
Extra Drip is there because you should always keep a health item on you. She doesn't have access to top tier tanking perks like No Sell, Stunt Double, and What Doesn't Kill You.
Bomb Squad is mainly for when you see a Hitchhiker. He's meta, and very oppressive. Since you need to keep health on you and won't win any close encounters anyways, that's one slot you won't have for a bone shard.
Ran Track is also a great perk for her.
When it comes to her ability tree I reduce the recharge time twice, and then eliminate the stamina cost. That's left, left, middle.
Map memorization for her is key. You need to know where wells are on the map. They're your best friend as victim in general. For low toughness characters it's crucial that you know where they're at.
At the start of the map you want to get a lockpick and health. Open a door as soon as possible, you don't need to use your ability, open the lock, but don't leave immediately unless you have to. Normally the first one up is the one who gets the heat from the family. I like to open crawlspaces anytime I have the chance as well because I'll probably be using them later.
From there it kind of just depends on the map you're on and the flow of the match. For example on Family House, I almost always go for that side door that leads to the porch. For some reason Family players tend to neglect that door. On that map they watch the fusebox and blue door like a hawk. On Gas Station players tend to patrol the generator and Gas Station exit, as well as the car battery. They don't really pay attention to the valve exit or fusebox on that map. On Slaughterhouse the valve exit is my favorite one to take.
That's pretty subjective and it might feel differently in your matches, but generally that's how I approach the maps.
