"But it's not the same devs!!!!" For those about to copy/paste this, do you really think their publisher had zero say in this? If so, I have some oceanfront property in the US state of Arizona that I'd like to sell you.
i mean i didnt like evil dead, but i LOVED friday the 13th and TCM is fun in the right conditions.
Why in the world do these massive games like fortnite etc keep going, i couldnt even stomach that crap for the life of me, and dead by daylight, gosh its just in that category too, not a real horror experience, just another blan generic game, but these that resemble things i remember are enjoyable to me.
Player numbers means nothing especially on Steam where roughtly 70% of people play CS:GO and DotA daily anyway. Also don't forget that it's not an era of disposable game releases, it's an era of monopoly in multiplayer game industry. There is always a more popular game that everyone in genre will stick too and refuse to try something new. Imagine creating a new moba game on PC while DotA and LoL exists. It's not going to change anytime soon, same with Dbd being the most popular horror asym, nothing is going to move it from that spot no matter how much funds a new game gets. Riot couldn't move CS:GO out of the way with Valorant even tho they invested huge money into it, it did got it's playerbase but it nowhere near killed CS:GO. But people for some reason expected TCSM to kill Dbd lmao.
Because I paid 50 AUD for a game I've had over 40 hours with already.
If it shuts down, it shuts down. I've gotten more play time out of it than I do most games.
Could you imagine if everyone had that sentiment? Smh...
I paid $15 for DBD and got nearly 5K hours out of it, but I still wouldn't want to see it shut down just because I feel like I got my money's worth. You are the textbook definition of everything that is wrong with modern video game consumers. Stop ruining our hobby, some of us are passionate about gaming.
If DbD shut down tomorrow, after 5k hours played, you seem the type that would still bit©h how it "wasn't fair", hasn't "gotten their money's worth", and/or "gImMe ReFuNd NoWz!1!!one!!eleven!!!"
Even if you played TCM for 100 hrs at this point, you've gotten your money's worth in playtime, and would still be a better time vs. cost value when compared to other games. Ex: FFXVI - $70 for less than 50 hrs worth of content.
