And with the daily peak plummeting on Steam, yeah, TCM (on PC, we don't have console numbers) will soon follow.
As for "why are you all okay with [wasting] time and money on a game that will be shut down"? Well, I for one get more than my fair share of playtime for price paid. And that's what it boils down to - time vs. cost. If I can manage an average of $1/hr playtime, I consider that fair. And I've logged well over that in TCM.
They could shut down tomorrow and I'd have gotten my money's worth out of it.
most of this is just stemming from them removing crossplay. completely stupid decision and it doesnt seem like they're changing it back any time soon. game is already hemorrhaging players. never seen a game handle it this way and its laughably atrocious & you can already see what they're moving on to prioritize now
it was amazing and fun the first two weeks. I feel bad for everyone who missed it
The removal of crossplay was such a terrible decision, I hope the alienation of their PC user base was worth it for all those gamepass users that will forget about the game in a month and move on to whatever is popular next.
considering Gun is the same company that created Friday the 13th, then proceeded to ban users from co op, based on fake reports from boob streamers, forcing players to decide if they want to buy ANOTHER COPY, or abandon it forever with no refund, I'm surprised anyone bought THIS.
As tempted as I was, I probably won't buy it myself, but I know one of my weirdo friends will probably buy me a copy for Christmas or something >.<
I'm not sure why they dont just add a feature to allow IP connecting and move progression to local files sunsetting them, i mean if they no longer care about the game they arent going to be banning anyone or care if someone hacks their save file. doing this would still allow a small number of friends to play in a real P2P session and not a theoretical half p2p setup which will go offline when they stop paying for hosting.
I dont expect them to continually support the game forever, but i expect the game to function when they abandon any further changes and drop any of their services
