Cool. Ta for replying.
Perhaps. People do and will have opinions so I personally have no thoughts on that matter. After all, someone thinking "this side is stronger than the other" doesn't do any harm or mean that they're correct.
The point I was making is that it implies a lack of perspective. Playing one side means you're missing the full picture.
People who play both generally don't say things like that.
Main Leatherface, 2nd Cook. Hitch if I have to.
Main Connie, 2nd Sonny, Ana if I have to.
I understood you were speaking in general terms. Nonetheless, ta for the clarity.
Ha! Almost the same for myself killer wise. I go Leatherface and Cook but I prefer Sissy due to her singing.
Victims I go with whatever vibe I fancy playing;
Leland for offensive play. Ana for the House map (I like the window jumps) and Sonny for a general play style.
Ta for replying.
(?) Okay. As long as you're happy.
But at one point I was constantly switching between the two. Ironically, as I got more experienced with the game and settled more into builds I liked, the less I swapped around. Currently I'm in a situation where I'm playing almost nothing but Family, but I... don't want to. The issue is I've realized almost all the builds I enjoy for Family members and Victims involve at least one, sometimes two, random Perks. Respeccing characters from 0 to 10 is tedious and time-consuming at the best of times, but it becomes exceedingly tiresome when I would want to do it multiple times. If I felt like hopping over to play some Victim, I'd need to respec out of enough Family members to give me the points to prop up... let's say Ana, and then probably Julie in case Ana is taken, oh and Leland to cover my bases in case both Ana and Julie are taken... that's a ton of time rerolling on three characters to get the builds I want to play with and level... and then the next time I want to play Family I need to do the process in reverse to get all the Family members I respecced out of back to where they were before... and then it all needs to repeat AGAIN if I wanted to swap back to Victims...
It's just not worth it. So currently I'm playing Family. Which is a shame, because I've been enjoying Victim more when I'm playing solo and Family more when I have a friend (or preferably two) available to play it with. This is like to continue until either the devs change how the progression system works, me and my friends decide to make a large-scale shift over to Victim for at least a period of time, or I eventually accumulate such an absurd amount of points that I can keep a respectable number of characters on both sides simultaneously leveled.
I couldn't agree more about solo q being interesting. I've had a few matches as a team but 90% of the time I'm solo.
That makes sense how you'd end up going victim if you're teaming up with that many friends. Ta for your reply.
I find I get the most interesting matches in solo, the anticipation of whether you're gonna escape or not or get all the kills or not is something I find fun in since the matches can have a lot of variety and turning points. No worries.
Please excuse my - for lack of a better word - editing of your reply. Although I can relate to your reply I find myself in a different situation (I almost have every character levelled up to max).
Respeccing is indeed a "tedious and time-consuming" chore to do and one I haven't enjoyed.
Ta for your very detailed response.
Anyone but Johnny will use it depending on the choices of the other players. (Leatherface included)
You seem to be playing to the limit to the point where you are at the highest level, but I can't get that much play time.
As several people have pointed out, there is no room at all for skill points, and I cannot afford to develop characters on both sides, as the character pick specifications make it inconvenient to have to develop more than one character.
Furthermore, the presence of random PERKs makes it more difficult to re-spec and change to a different character.
