Why is the metal door to the kitchen missing?!

For some reason every time I pass through this area of the house, the sliding metal door is off the hinges and on the side of the wall as if it is broken. This door is a bit iconic as the "slaughter death door" where Kirk and Pam go to die and should have been in place and usable!

Maybe it's just my attention to detail, lol. I mean, it's not that big of a deal at the end of the day since it's just a door, but I mean...
