Why are console players so scared of pc players in regards to crossplay?

cheaters only coming from PC, and devs temporarily disable crossplay for fix anti cheat system then re enable and make a fair enviroment.

it's not that console players (Like myself) are scared of the idea, it's just that most people (NOT ALL) on pc cheat. and it ruins it for console players.
i'd be totally down for having legit pc players play with console but it's nearly impossible to keep cheaters away on pc because of how easy it is to mess with the files.

Cheating is done mainly by PC players so that is probably the main reason why.

Also as a PC player and being "isolated" with other PC players, the games are now zero chill and all sweat. Even more so when you get lobbied against streamers or content creators.

Playing as family, Leatherface usually gives up in the basement and never comes out AFKing until the game ends while victims are gone before the objectives are even properly secured in cases they are on the same team (which they are at least 3 stacks almost every lobby).

Playing as victim, people just DC on a whim, Connies try to speedrun and either fail miserably dying quickly OR if they succeed, they just teabag at the exit while the rest of their team gets demolished because killers have one less victim to worry about. Lelands go for bully plays and do diddly squat the whole game...the family just gangs up on the remaining players.

I played over 30 games since yesterday and only one was even remotely "normal". This was happening before the crossplay patch, but now it is every single game. You can call yourself all you want, PC gamers, but players like these are part of the problem. Solo queue in this game is absolute dumpster fire.

On reddit the console kids have been saying PC players are better. I mean not in those exact words, but still indirectly addmiting it.

funny you should say that cause most of my game time is on pc tho console is slowly starting to surpass it.
played on pc for most of my life. i made the switch to console in 2018.
in almost all mp games i played, i encountered cheaters, even in the game arkham origins online right before it was shut down. i left because of the cheaters, yeah sometimes i come back to play old games like half life 1 or knights of the old republic, but when i play on mp games it's either left 4 dead 2's co-op story or tf2's community servers. i can't even play modern warfare 2 anymore because of what the cheaters did on that game, if i play it i risk having my computer hacked. yet i can play it just fine on console if i wanted too.

Any game where there's even a modicum of competition, console players will always complain about mouse and keyboard, it's objectively better.

funny cause most cheater i encountered were on console , since the cross play is disable the amount of cheater i see in game dropped by at least 70%

At least you need to buy device for 50+$

with PC open google type game name cheats install and you good to go

I play finals on PS5 and have not seen any cheater yet.
Opened PC version after 5 minutes I'm done )

Cheating on consoles is definitively a thing too. It's just better disguised.

Last days i see significantly more cheaters in games. I am considering to stop play until they fix it at least a little bit.
I accept certain amount of cheaters, but not every 3rd game or even more :(

Look at the date of the op guys, c'mon. Also, there never was an epidemic of cheaters, it was basically just mass hysteria because at the time of game launch, nobody understood the game mechanics and went around accusing pretty much everyone they came across as cheating. In fairness though, there definitely are some totally legit game mechanics in the game that do appear very much like cheating.

I think the entire time i played the game, i only came across like 3 totally obvious, unquestionable cheaters and hackers.
