Playing to a characters strengths only works out once you have their matching perks lvl 2 or greater. ( except stealth, stealth is always good ) - until then place a more balanced build of the character.

if you're playing maxed Connie like I do this build is AMAZING. With a little bit of map route knowledge,stealth skills you become very hard to find and capture (unless Grandpa is LVL 5)

Attributes
Toughness-->20
Endurance--> 35
Strength--> 15
Proficiency--> 41
Stealth--> 42 (at 42 points you're basically silent when performing actions)

Perks
Jump Start--> Tier 3
Choose Flight--> Tier 3 (not bad at Tier 2 though)
Efficient Locksmith--> Tier 3

Note: If you want to have more stamina to compliment your ability to run away that Choose Flight and Jump start gives you, remove 5 points from proficiency and place them into your Endurance Stat. If you feel like your proficiency isn't helping with a stat of 41 you can always remove a few points from stealth to bump that up.

For the Family side of things I main a maxed Leatherface
Attributes
Savagery--> 50
Blood Harvesting--> 19
Endurance--> 50

Perks
Big Swings--> Tier 3
Vial-ent-->Tier 3
Blood Runner--> Tier 3 (Blood Runner can be switched out for Tracker Tagged Tier 3 for a more team based approach)

Thank you for the advices, Connie was always taken so i ended up with Julie instead, but with Stealth and Prof. And it is working great so far.
Putting stealth above 40 is a waste of attribute points, just letting you know. You can spam everything with 40 points without making loud noises.

A good build will all be player preference imo

If you're starting out on victims, play as Leland or Ana. They are are ones who can take multiple hits from Bubba without dying.

Leland's tackle ability is a "get out of a chase" free card. Pair that up with a shiv, and that gives you the ability to double stun a Family member. E.G. tackle, stand behind them, and stab.
Ana's tank ability basically makes her invulnerable soaking up 70&+ or more of incoming damage.

Get the aura reading perks to help you learn the map. Once you learn the map, pick the perks that works to your playstyle.
E.G. If you like to go full aggro, get the stun increased perks, and backstab one that also sap away the family member max stamina.
E.G. If you want to just do objectives, there's a perk that disables bone traps without needing a shiv.

As for family members, Leatherface, aka Bubba, is the one that scores the most points with very little effort by breaking everything. Victims can't grapple/struggle with you, they can only backstab and tackle.

Putting any points into stealth is a bad idea. Stealth really doesn't matter in this game, but noobs are duped into thinking it is because of Grandpa. Proficiency and endurance is way more important if you're trying to min/max.

I am not sure i will agree on that, i think all the games i have escaped so far is because of stealth.

The only thing about Stealth stats that I'm not entire sure about, is whether or not if affects your character from literally speaking out loud next to the family member.
You know those stupid lines they say "I hope they don't see me" or "I think I finally lost them" ... Family Members can hear those lines.
