Family running faster then a sprinting victim?

Just had a game where leatherface easily caught up to me despite fully sprinting. Don't get me wrong I get he's quick while he's charging his chainsaw but he should not be able to gain distance on a fully sprinting victim, esp since stamina runs out quickly when sprinting. Im really gonna chuck this down to either the perk 'scout' which really need to be exclusive to cook, or he was cheating.

No he isn't cheating, you go through a crack and you escape leather immediately. You need to use your brains to run from Leather and not your face

have a go at him yourself, you'll notice that people using the enviroment is simply free escapes from you

You cant outrun leatherface. he will catch you with a chainsaw sprint. which is fair enough he should be dangerous in the open.

Every other family you can outrun them by sprinting but they will out endurance you. lucky for you there is wall gaps, and crawl spaces and wells galore to make it to and regen your stamina.

Do not ever think LF is slow. you need to break sight with leather face through a crack or crawlspace, shutting doors on him or HE WILL catch up to you

The tough thing I'm seeing is a lot of fast survivors, impossible to reach, it's vice versa, I'm suspicious of speedhack for both, it can only be, because I've already tested perks in favor of stamina and I don't see it running like that.
