Ye sure just leads to ppl dodge every lobby and play with their maxed chars anyways .... genius
I don't think it is a matter of playing more.
Why would you force people to respec(which does not suppose a loss of points) so they have to level up the character they are going to play next.
I feel it's better to keep levels independent for each character and play with them to level up.
You could, you know... slow down leveling to prevent this.
Indeed, that would be a good option
Ye exept that in dbd you can pick whatever char you want
Actually, the current system makes it so once you hit level 10 you have 50 points to max out every skill tree on every character. It just involves the headache of constantly removing all your points after each match and then dumping them onto whoever you play in the next match. Tying the skill points to characters would actually encourage people to play more and take atleast 7x longer to max out everyone's skill tree.
It would also be more encouraging for people to play different characters more often since you know you'll be making some form of progress with that character no matter what, instead of just getting floating points that are ultimately meaningless past level 10. At level 20, the skill points are being drip-fed to me at this point and their only use to me is just the simple convenience of not having to move as many points around when I swap characters.
If you're level 10 then congrats, all your characters are already maxed out, no need to keep grinding. Just respec and move the 50 points around, you're gonna have to do it anyways since skill-points are drip-fed to you as you get up to level 20+ meaning you can only really lock in one characters skill tree with 50 and then move around your remaining 50 SP. Just make sure you remember to do it at the main menu, because if you join a lobby where your character is taken you can't swap over to them to grab the skill points.
It's a terrible system, please don't blindly defend it just because you think the alternative is too much like DBD. You know what they say "if it ain't broke, then don't tack-on an unnecessary respec system that wasn't thought out"
I just dont want to play a character with base stats thats all
By that point you can easly have at least 3 characters level 10. I dunno still what's the problem lol
I have 2 max lvl and like 25 points, the problem is that this lvling system is trash,i dunno why your white knighting it so hard
