Player Count
Why is everyone so concerned w the player count it says in steam charts the numbers are holding steady, we were at 17k-6k day of release already, but people complaining the game dying too fast? It seems people pick the time of day the game trends low, and just acts like its dead? I have no issues getting lobbies, and I know they stated the game hit 1 million already bc its game pass, lobbies are fast, so whats the deal?

Probably because the game is dead actually, you're getting lobbies now, but let's see in couple weeks.

No one would make these posts if the game had 20k+ players on steam alone.

You probably never played a game with a small playerbase. I used to play Gold Express which had like 200-300 players tops and I would instantly find lobbies all the time. DbD's crap matchmaking made you believe that a game absolutey needs thousands of players to have quick matchmaking. No, it does not.

Game will be fine in a couple of weeks, especially with crossplay. Ask me again in a few years.

but dbd didnt start with 20k players, and this game does have that player count, but not on steam. The game already has over 1 million it stated within its first 24 hours, this game has most its traffic via game pass.

also dbd dropped from 30k to 20k, so, is dbd dying too?

Not only that, but even if the game did good or bad, it does them a favor to have something to compete with dbd, because it means dbd will get better quality updates to be competitive. Does not everyone win?

Oh it's simple, nowadays people can't watch a game launch fairly well and not complain/compare to other games instead of just enjoying it or letting it be.

I think it depends how you see overall numbers, Steam has 20 million people online yet only 22k people playing DBD so I guess that game is dead too.
well, tcm on steam alone did peak today at 14k, which is still pretty good, especially for a new game.

I believe they try to create a selffulfilling prophecy so people don't leave DBD.

Becuse hardcore DBD fanboys want this game to die, so the "competition" is over. Funny enough, GUN. never wanted to compete with DBD. The only one who wants this, is the DBD fans - somehow they are more scared about their game dying, instead of enjoying that there now is two games, with different gamestyles.

Back in the days i played both Wow and F14 - u can play both, it just depends on your mood

I don't get why people are concerned one way or the other; If you're here looking to validate DBD then maybe the problem is you. People playing TCM were looking for a better game experience, and as one of them I can say I found it. Why is that a problem for DBD players?

I mean look at some of the other comments, it apparently is a problem. This has been a problem with every other asymmetrical horror game too, dbd playerbase has aways flooded the forums of an impending doom for the next game since f13.

So the game is dead cause ON STEAM there are ONLY 15k players? Dude, it's free on the gamepass...
