Jumping out the window does too much damage. Why bother?
During the tech test using windows seemed like a good strategy to escape a chase. Now every time I have used a window has not ended well for me. I either die from the damage it causes or have the family right in my face as my character takes their sweet time to recover from the very long animation after hitting the ground. How does jumping out a window offer anything good now? Its basically just another way to die at this point it seems. Does it really need to cause that much damage?

You ever jumped through a glass window headfirst?

Look it up. The game's being gentle.

window is one of the few easy ways ive found that actually work to escape family house against sweaty killers
once broken go down the well and go back through it next time it will be silent so you can get outside without being noticed
*ps remember to heal whilst in basement

Yea and if your character is even somewhat damaged you'll either die from the jump or go into recovery in which point the entire family is just waiting for you to stand up just to kill you.

Yea but when I'm trying to complete objectives in a video game a little balance would be nice. Losing that much health or basically dying jumping out of a window in this game is mostly risk with little to no reward in my experience. Also if you want to try to argue realism when we're talking about a video game... window glass on homes isn't exactly the most durable thing in the world so you know.

It barelly scratches if you jump 1st floor by using Ana's power. If someone has to break a window, Ana should be doing it.

Play Ana and you'll become the dedicated window breaker for the team.

"By using Ana's power" ............. Yea I dont use Ana every match. This is completely irrelevant to my post. I don't care what Ana can do in this situation. The window jump is too much risk with little to no reward due to damage and long recovery.

There's a perk that reduces damage from jumping down wells and through windows and makes you stand up faster... Might wanna look into that.
you're not supposed to want to jump out of the window it's a last resort option

Its more of a no resort option. I don't do it anymore because it literally has only led to me dying right after using it. The tech test version of the game was way more fun than this. Wish I could just play that instead.

There's a situational counter perk called Stunt-something? That makes you break windows at little cost and you get back way faster. You don't have to use Ana, but she's best at it.
The perk works very well on Family House map.

if you don't want to take your chances you can just die without trying anyways. If that's how you enjoy playing the game
