That game had a special kind of charm on release with VOIP and being able to kill other counselors.
Was legit one of my favorite times in gaming.
This game is good, but it is a lot more tame and modern.
te fight back mechanics were silly the strength of goupped up survivors were silly
and a single survivor was quicly left hhelpless because of a terrible stamina function (sure there was stuff about windows being to strong or something but in an overall case especially for newer players that isnt the case)
f13 just had too meany issues to be a good game being the reason the game failed ironically dbd was more balanced
IMO, TCM is a masterpiece graphically and quality-wise with the MoCapped characters, animation and map design. IMO it has huge potential which should ensure longevity.
However, TCM is experiencing some growing pains right now which should/can get resolved, we just have to be patient like any other new release. It is not an early access title so things should be moving along.
Bro, you didn't even play F13 until 2019.
You don't really have the right to ignorantly call that game a failure.
It seems like they've learned a lot of lesson from Friday the 13. (Limiting Characters that can be on a match, reducing the amount of things that Trolls can do to break the game.)
I can already see balancing issues with being able to adjust stats and applying specific perk layouts on characters. This issue always makes it alot harder for new players to pick up the game since they will have a huge disadvantage for the first 10-20 games until they start leveling up the characters.
Its also annoying the SP pool wasn't just made available to all characters so we don't have lobby fights on who wants to be who. They could have kept the leveling system so that it would just apply to unlockables for skins/kills and still and make the players level up the perks on their characters.
But only time will tell.
maybe but the game is dead now anyways sooo
But F13 was something really special at the time.
I remember my first few games and how great it felt when you met up with other survivors around the camp. There was a feeling of real team work but also terror.
I had some really fun times in that game and even some of the voice chat was hilarious with people role playing voices for the killer.
But then hackers and the stupid modded lobbies took over and that sadly is my lasting memory of the game now. Its just not at all the same.
The first few months were incredibly fun though. I wish the offline mode allowed you to play as a survivor as i preferred that to being the killer.
