Close fight interrupted - instant death.
I wanted to see everyone's opinion on the fact when you are struggling against the family member pressing F and the other family member can just kill you instantly with full HP.

Is this intentional? Because I think more logical would be that the fight itself is interrupted and the victim takes damage from incoming attacks, rather just instantly dying.

Why would that be more logical? Logically, if you're putting all your strength into grappling with someone in front of you, that leave you completely open for someone else to come up and slit your throat.

From my experience, victims will win most close encounters unless the family member has that one perk. OR if another comes up as you mentioned, the latter is more reliant on communication between family. Which means its likely intended, as this is a very team focused game.

If you are saying a dude with a chainsaw came up behind you and cut you down like a tree in a forest...

They could make the struggle a little shorter but you really should only use grapple if there's nothing else you can do.

Think about it as a "last resort" sort of thing

Teams need to use Leland as a bodyguard more often to help avoid this. It doesn't feel good to be stabbed during a close encounter, but I think it is fine. Adds another element to the game to consider before engaging your murderer vs stealth vs running.

I think its fine. Its supposed to be risky and if you're using it near another Family member, it makes sense that they can kill you. Its meant as a little 1v1 and you should be punished if you're using it near the others imo.

I don't even understand how these interactions work.
How do you do it as victim? I had an ana and leland do it to me like 6 times in a match, I was spamming F as cook and everytime they would just get out and run.

It makes sense thematically, but it does feel bad.
Especially with how oppressive killers are.

But in the spirit of the earlier movies, I could see you succeeding during a struggle and Leatherface whiffing his chainsaw and almost hitting another family member and them yelling at him.
Would need invincibility frames during the struggle to make it happen, and I personally think something like that would be better than what we have now.

Str, perks, and pressing F enough times factor into the fight.

It's slightly skewed in the Victims favor (60/40).

wait, using grapple is a choice? I thought it just randomly happens

Leland and Ana are the tank classes.

Pick bone shard and press m1 against the family member.

Behind=sneak attack. Other directions=grapple. Both M1.

The more health a victim has the easier they'll win the struggle. Strenght stat also factors a lot in this interaction
