There's a reason Dead By Daylight had to change the name of perks belonging to Demogorgon, Steve and Nancy and had to adjust their icons as they lost the license for it. There's also a reason why they removed it as a DLC.
They can't change things belonging to the timeline of the movie as it is copyrighted, if they start adding fancy modern outfits to the characters then it goes against the license.
I thought there won't be an issue
Let's make homelander the main killer.
Evil Dead the Game is also a licensed game but there was no issue having Ash from 70s/80s team up with Mia from 2013 movie
In TCM case, I just asked for additional modern skin, no need to be canon
Also in F13th the game, counselors could simply go against Jason with swimsuits, not everything has to be too realistic
No taste!
