Can't escape as Victim

I haven't escaped in ~20 games, I'm not playing recklessly or trying to speedrun. Could be that matchmaking is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ me over, I don't know, but I'm really frustrated; especially because everyone is talking about how Victims are OP, but I don't understand because I'm getting pubstomped. Too late to refund as well; any tips?

youre meantioning "speedrun" well if you only hide for too long youre not gonna make it. the game is based on speed and momentung, always a 50 50 chance. tips? if you die first keep spectating the others, learn from twitch streamer or as well keep playing and play killer.

i just can tell you if i play victim i always escape. or at least i loop the cook for 5 gens so my mates can leave.

and as killer i make a 4k by myself as nubbins.

maybe im already inside the head of a killer and a survivor. there is no meta yet.

I’ve played about 8-9 games as victims and escaped about 4 it’s either you get terrible family who don’t know how to play or people that are good and you get lucky and find everything you need but yea out of the 3 maps gas station is extremely favoured towards the family.

- Loot 2 unlocking tools (can loot the same tool box more than once)
- Unlock a basement exit
- Go back and grab a replacement unlocking tool
- Go back and open said basement exit
- Locate one of the unlockable exit gates protected by a generator/electrified car battery (most are behind 2-3 locked doors, that's why you always carry 2 unlocking tools)
- Disarm the defenses, unlock the gate and win
*Connie's ability speeds this up but you can do it with anyone, just make sure you have high stealth so you don't make noise

If you're just focused on trying to get out ASAP do not pick any other items up apart from the health kits when you need to use them.

Key is to remain unseen while doing this. Sometimes you just get unlucky/go against a highly skilled family and this becomes very difficult - but it's worked for me. I've played 30 matches as victim and escaped 20 times (solo queuing).

Jesus ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ christ what a guy - who cares if you can't escape? Is that really reason to refund? Did you just buy the game so you can play and escape all the time? It's not about escaping but the feeling of adrenaline rush when you crawl trough basement with 3 killers after you. Who cares if you win or no

Iirc, there is no "matchmaking" in this game. I'm not sure whether the game is trying to match with similar account level players but even that might be completely random - I'm currently account level 15 and do face account level 15+ players most of the time.

W H O C A R E S? It's not competetive game you won't ever go pro and make money. Just embrace that your role is a VICTIM, not escape specialist

After unhook rush towards to blue toolbox. Once you get one tool, get second one. With two tools go open the closest basement gate. After opening the gate go back to the same blue toolbox and get another tool.

Now, with two tools ready and basement doors opened, you can finally go out of the basement.

Go straight to the exit with electricity protection (via car battery or gen, depends on map, doesn't really matter). Its always protected with one or two locked doors or gate down the road. Finally, stop the gen or unplug the car battery and open the final doors.

Leaving basement with two tools ready makes your escape much easier. You don't have to stop anywhere or once on particular maps.

Proficiency and stealth are the stats you are aiming to raise up as much as possible.

I've escaped 14 out of 19 matches yet.

Don't refund (and you can't I see now), watch others play and learn from it. Learn the maps and pick a main character and level him up. Don't care about escape, look at every game as a practice run.

get good ,be better. Another tip would be to start playing easier game like dbd in roblox. Make your way up to big boys game and maybe... maYBE youll have a chance at the big bois games like TCM

lol did I mention 20 games? I wasn't exaggerating, and I'm fine with losing most of the time as is the nature of these games. When I get to 20 games with no escapes and I'm not playing brainlessly, something's up and it's no longer fun

Watch some videos/streamers I guess. I haven't been struggling like that as Victim. Sure I've died, sometimes within the start of the match but I'm also escaping a lot. Get out of the basement ASAP and don't wait for others to do things, take lead and you'll realize that most of the time, it pays off.
